From MoS to MoX

Yesterday was one disasterous weekend I've ever come across. It was a totally wrong day to come out for a session of clubbing with my friends.

First, I was supposed to join my classmates at MoS for its Milkshake! party, which offers free entry to students and NSFs if you show up with their flyer at the door. But the moment when we reached there, we were completely horrified by the huge throngs of people outside the club, standing in the queue that snakes all the way to Crazy Horse. It was crazy!

I've never expected it to be so freaking crowded as I thought most will probably be boogieing over at the other biggest and happening year-end party, ZoukOut, at Sentosa. Who knows it isn't like this? Even if you managed to squeeze to the front of the queue, there is still difficulty of getting in as the club inside was filled to the brim. Well the crowd control at MoS really sucks.

Turned off by that, we and my friends immediately fled off from that crazy and humid place, leaving behind my classmates who are still in the queue, to Mox Bar at Tanjong Pager Pagar where we sat there to chill out to regain our cool. Thereafter we went over to Happy where the scene inside was a major contrast to what we saw earlier on at MoS.

The place was so far from crowded. There was only a few groups of souls, including us, sitting at the sofa, some were drinking, some were chatting and some staring at the DJ who is spinning music to the empty dancefloor. The space was so ample that you can even do head-spinning stances or any other forms of break-dancing on the floor.

Well I kinda pity the DJ, a Filipino who probably flew all the way from some ulu-pandan place in Manila to come to S'pore to spin music and then ill-treated by not a hot iron or loads of house chores, but by such an empty turn-out.

But cannot blame lah. He had us murdered on the dancefloor by playing some real weird, boring and frustrating music which kills the groove in us. In the end, we can't take it anymore and left for home at 1am plus. The first time I reached home so early from clubbing.
