Eragon

There was a big debate discussion going on last night outside at Plaza Singapura's McDonald after me and my 0612A peeps had finished watching the fantasy movie, "Eragon". We were criticising and pointing out our views about the show.

I don't know why, but from a movie about magic, dragons and heroes we could end up talking about to be a movie about "Men Riding Horses" and better still, porn. Just so because they had more scenes of men riding on horses than on dragons, and the "porn" part, I really have no idea of how my friends interpreted it. Perhaps the only thing close to that is the "Brokeback" feel in the early scene where the handsome lead character, Eragon, was wrestling around with his equally handsome cousin in the farmyard.

Though the movie is like a rojak of LOTR + Harry Potter + Narnia + Star Wars, I pretty much enjoyed watching it. Looking at its posters I thought how boring and dull it's going to be, but surprisingly it wasn't. What captures me most is the computer-generated dragon Saphira, who melts my heart when it was a cute and adorable baby dragon and risk its life to protect her dragon rider, Eragon, in the battle against the evil sorcerer. Talking about that, the sorcerer, Durza is the most ugliest villain I've ever seen! - a freak with serious bad teeth and facial problems.
