Take The Lead
First KTV, now playing pool... looks like I have put my days of leave-clearing into good use by indulging in activities that I've never did before.
Though i felt i was so a late starter when it comes to this long-time-popular-with-youngsters game, well at least i have the agar-agar idea on how to play it so i won't malu in front of others in future when kenna chio for a game of pool. Ha!
With our good fren, PTL around, who is a rather expert in pool, i got to learn the correct way to position the stick and hit the balls (of those on the table, not TL's ones by accident or what). Then of course, there are the few stupid but yet amusing mistakes that i did, such as causing the white ball to magically bounce up, hitting into blank air space, and getting the qi-gek (frustrated) feeling when the ball is so near but still missed it in hitting into the hole. (>_<)
...
Yesterday we also went to watch our first movie at the newly-opened (but later got slammed until jiat-lak jiat-lak by critics for its lousy, plain-to the-core building design) Cathy Cinema. Well i have seen it for myself and can't deny the fact is like that =p .
Anyway we were there to watch the sneak preview of "Take The Lead", a movie about dancing. Well i just thought the show is great, probably becoz i enjoyed watching these kind of dance-themed shows particularly. I'm pretty much captivated by their dancing scenes most.
Story revolves around a suave, gentlemanly ballroom teacher who volunteer to teach a detention class of hip-hop kids ballroom dancing. From the intial reluctant reaction of the students, they soon picked up their interest in the ballroom dance and even tried to incorporate hip-hop beats into classical music creating a new music fusion. In the end they went to take part in a competition and each displayed their dance moves they are good at.
Well it also seems like 'Dance Fever' is burning these days - the premiering of "Take The Lead"; reality tv series " So You Think You Can Dance" and the upcoming dance musical,"Burn The Floor". Oh and not forgetting dancing at MoS! Hehe...
