Rest-cue Me
pretty, pretty BUSY, TIRING and MESSY week!
School had kicked off and it was fun. Never mind about lessons on Saturdays, all that news writing practices in class just made up for it. It was interesting to learn about how to report news on crimes, fires, press conferences and so on for news publications. And they always revolved around one of our favourite fictitious characters, John Smith.
Like what Esther said, this good mix of lecturing and writing is what keeps the lessons unboring and makes us look forward to class everyday.
Not forgetting that we also had a great lecturer for class who specially flew down here all the way from Oklahoma City University (OCU). She is a Professor with a funky hairdo, wears a smile all the time, wishes us well at the end of the day, and calls our names with a nice American accent.
But what I really like about her is, she is really patient when it comes to teaching, corrects your mistakes politely, and praises you when you have done well, be it just a minor thing. The teaching style is definitely way better than some local lecturers...
I am so gonna be so excited about completing the post assignment for this module. Haa...
Lots of activities have been taking place this past weekend, did you realised? There's the Great Singapore Sale (GSS), the Singapore Arts Festival, Vesak Day celebrations, and the release of some great summer flicks. (I'm still waiting to catch Pirates and the upcoming Shrek 3). And now the streets in down town are like heavily packed with crowds!
But that doesn't seem to have any influence on my shop because sales are still like any other normal day. Haiz.
Anyway last night was out with the girls to Velvet Dragon (seriously what a beng-ish name!), which is the ex-Momo club at Central Mall. Well the place do looked beng-ish a bit with a concept of the dancefloor and a few pool tables locating side by side, and poles erected around for hot female (and guy) dancers to pole-dance with. Again, music sounds kind of similar to MoS and St. James, but here they played it very weirdly in terms of sequence I thought.
Didn't really move much because was seriously tired and my few-months-old new shoes are almost killing me. Made a bad choice to wear it out.
Ok back to work. Tata.
