"Your attention please. For the comfort of all passengers, PLEASE STOP JUMPING ONTO TRACKS AT MRT STATIONS!!!"

Just this morning, another MRT track accident had happened at Yishun MRT, causing train services to be disrupted between Sembawang and Yio Chu Kang. This has been the second of such accident to take place in a week after a man was hit by a train at Admiralty station last Saturday.

Although I had took the train from Ang Mo Kio station to get to school, I was still in a way of being affected by it as the train took a pretty long time to arrive, and by then the platform was already swarmed with people. As a result, I had to wait for the next train as I lost to those kiasu people in getting into the carriage.

Well it's not just about bringing inconvenience to the morning commuters of reporting late for work or school due to train services disruption, but also to people who have to clear up the mess that these dead people left behind - of blood, amputated body parts, brain juices and don't-know-what. That kind of scene must have been as gore as those in any of the SAW series.

Like how fashion taste changes over time, so is the style of committing suicide. "Getting run over by MRT trains" seems to have outdo "jumping down from a 40-storeyed building" in becoming the next IN thing of killing oneself these days. Then again, there are some who are probably suicide "copycats", who think by jumping onto the paths of incoming trains will gain them public sympathy and public donations for their family members.
