Viva Las Vivo

Continuation of the events that took place on Saturday ...

After the thrilling and enjoyable cable car ride we had that afternoon, we went on to visit the spectacular and currently the hottest talk of the week (besides the haze) - VivoCity.

Only in its second week of opening, it is also the town's largest shopping mall (Singaporeans has an insatiable need for bigger shopping places), boosting over 1 million sq. ft. of retail and F&B concepts, and a largest multiplex cinema. Though only about 60% of their stores are opened on that day, that never stopped a large crowd from flocking to that place.

It was crazy trying to find one decent place to settle our meals (despite having three food courts) because everywhere is so bombarded with people. And I don't see being big is necessary good because the place tires us out from all that high and low walking in our food scavenging.

Even getting a drink to quench our thirst is so tedious as we realised there isn't any convenience stores within the premises. Well actually there is. We did managed to find a 7-11 in the end, but guess what? - it was closed. How irony is that. And with its rather ulu location in the mall, I don't think the store is very convenient at all.

Basically I can't figure it out, how we can actually spent the whole evening at Vivo, doing nothing practical except walking all about searching for food and drink; munching away on digestive Chocolate biscuits and candy gums bought from Marks & Spencer; practising how to speak proper English; and got "Freak Out!" by a black dummy who do gymnastic stances on a chin-up bar that is proved way too much for an average man, out in the hazy night.
